Welcome to LakeCity Blog, an independent travel and culture blog founded by Pragya Puri Goswami, based in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
LakeCity Blog was started in 2020 with a simple idea: to explore Rajasthan beyond its popular tourist attractions and share the stories, traditions, people and experiences that make this region special.
Rajasthan is much more than its forts, palaces and famous destinations. It is also about its vibrant festivals, traditional food, local markets, historic streets, temples, folk culture and the everyday experiences that connect people with a place.
Through LakeCity Blog, I aim to document these stories and introduce readers to the many different sides of Rajasthan.

A Personal Connection with Rajasthan
Being from Udaipur, I have always felt connected to the culture, traditions and everyday life of Mewar.
Some of my favourite stories come from experiences I have grown up watching, family traditions, visits to local places and conversations with people who have something meaningful to share.
Whether it is documenting a traditional Rajasthani vegetable prepared at home, exploring the streets of Old Udaipur, attending a local festival or speaking with a small business owner, I believe every experience has a story worth preserving.
My aim is to combine personal observations with careful research so that readers can discover Rajasthan through both local experiences and useful information.

Pragya Puri Goswami is the founder and writer of LakeCity Blog.
With an academic background in BCA and MCA, she brings together her interest in writing, digital platforms, travel and Rajasthan's cultural heritage.
Through LakeCity Blog, she enjoys documenting local stories, exploring traditional practices, discovering food experiences and connecting with people who contribute to the region's identity.
She believes that meaningful travel writing is not only about telling people where to go, but also helping them understand the culture and stories behind a destination.
